Port of tesseract OCR to the open source packages

Tesseract optical character recognition engine port to IBM will
provide convenience and lower costs in building image-processing applications.
Reasons for this poer are the following
The first reason is convenience -- the C++ version of Tesseract can be tricky to compile (with prerequistes) and install, and nearly impossible for people with less knowledge of C.
The second reason is that for some applications, offload image processing on the server can allow the application to scale more and allow for scanning of more sensitive documents.

Use Case:

Use case is scanning and OCR recognition of for example invoices and other documents making it easier for developpers on IBM i to use such techniques.

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a HIGH priority requirement that is important to address.
There is an increasing number of clients that are looking for technologies like this, having a tool that does OCR on the platform would bring great business benefits.

Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT

Yes this is a great idea. I is extreme time consuming to make it run on IBM i, so a better solution is to let IBM do it once and for all.
