IBM i OVA creation command similar to "create_ova" on AIX

With such a command migrations to cloud could be easier, specially if we could send the file with SSH or a mounted NFS filesystem.

Use Case:

When you need to migrate a system with a different language you need to create an OVA, but today you need PowerVC, and most clients don't have this product.
With this command we can migrate to the cloud from inside the OS, without external tools and without hardware requirement beyond the storage for the image.

I was able to create an OVA using iSCSI from Linux changing mappings on our Storwize/FlashSystem storage.
Maybe you could create something based on VIOS or HMC and combining with FC or ISCSI mapping to create the OVA.

If you use the HMC for OVA creation could enable easier migrations to IBM Cloud PowerVS, maybe including upload to COS or an SFTP/FTP remote server.

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.

Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT
