Provide a ?not in? operator.

Now that we have a conditional “in” operator, please provide a “not in” operator, that can be used wherever “in” can, eg, with %lists, %ranges, arrays, etc.

Use Case:

Currently, to check if the value of a field is not in a list (or range, etc), we have to code the awkward:
if not (MyField in %list(…));

Having a “not in” operator would make this:
if MyField not in %list(…);
This is much more intuitive, and in line with syntax from other IBM i languages like SQL.

    How about a 'notin' or 'not-in' ? A totally separate operator, rather than a negation of 'in'.

    While IBM agrees that this feature would be an excellent addition to RPG, it is not feasible to support a NOT IN operator for RPG due to the way the compiler handles the "NOT" token.

    Therefore, this RFE is being closed.
