Change SBMJOB SCDTIME behavior

Please either change SBMJOB to go ahead and run a command if the SCDTIME is for an earlier time on the current date. Or else please provide a separate option to override that error and have it actually submit the job.

Use Case:

We have CLs that start other CLs either immediately or based on the time of day. Some of these we have to schedule in advance and may use other triggers like system values and data areas to determine when to start a job. However, if the first CL is behind schedule or held up with an issue, if there is a SCDTIME in there to start today (*CURRENT value for SCDDATE) and that time has passed, then we get an error. I don't care if the time is passed, I just need it to start on or after that time. The work around now is to add unnecessary code to get the current time and see if it is before the scheduled time or after and then use or not use the SCDTIME parameter. Rather than having to calculate all that, just run the SBMJOB even if we are passed the SCDTIME value.

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” LOW priority feature.

Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT

Thanks for submitting your request. We will consider this for a future enhancement. It would likely need to be implemented as an option using an environment variable to set it.
