https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6539162 had us disable IBM Navigator for i - heritage version and start using the new IBM i Navigator ( http://hostname:2002/Navigator ) (which we did (we also applied PTF 5770SS1 SI77928)).

The problem we are having is we are trying to configure and use the Intrusion Detection System as described in https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.3?topic=detection-using-intrusion-system-gui . It was in “Security” in the “heritage version” (as described everywhere I can find) but I am not finding it the “new” ( http://hostname:2002/Navigator ) version.

We need a way to configure and use the Intrusion Detection System without IBM Navigator for i - heritage version.

    There are no plans on updating 7.2 for the updated Navigator. The best option is to enable the Admin2 server to access the Heritage Nav for a short duration to perform the task

    Thank you. Sorry if I missed to add in this case, but we are at an extended support for V7R2. I looked at the documentation, and it looks like this only refers to ptfs for V7R3 and up. Will there be a support for V7R2?

    IBM understand this request and will be adding this support into the new version of IBM Navigator as part of a future iteration.
