Actually, a valid Network Authentication service and EIM configuration permits to use SSO on IBM i through different Windows AD realms for the users to authenticate to the IBM i using their windows usernames.
New times requires new technologies for the same authentication method and it's neccesary to update the ways it can be implemented and used.
It will be great to improve the SSO on the IBM i allowing the users to use SSO on IBM i through Azure Global AD.
The user logged on its laptop with the AD windows username, opens 5250 emulator and without entering new credentials, are automatically logged on the ibm i with its user configured on the EIM relationship.
Now, some companies need to use the Azure Global AD as a valid method to authenticate and use the SSO on IBM i.
