IBM i RPG Support for 5250 Advanced Function Display Data Stream (AFDDS) Merged

Enhance RPG to develop applications for the 5250 AFDDS PCs (see related RFEs) attached via IBM i Access Client Solutions. This would enable RPG programmers to develop GUI applications containing fonts, color logos and overlays as they can do today for AFPDS printers, as well as PC controls such as list boxes, combo boxes, push buttons, radio buttons, etc.

Use Case:

Full RPG support for AFDDS devices attached via IBM i ACS.
Display company logo and background on Qinter sign-on display. (See the attached document for an example)
RPG programmers could develop GUI applications which:
• Display subfiles as list boxes, real pushbuttons and drop-down lists.
• Display company dashboard with list boxes and graphs.
• Display employee photos with personnel applications.
• Display property photos with real estate applications.
