IFS Merged

Is it possible to solve the size limit problem in ifs?
The File Server (where the size NetServer returns is obtained) limits the maximum number of blocks to a 32 bit value. If there is more storage, the file server caps that value at 0x7FFFFFFF. This is a design limit, and is something that would be suitable to a design change request to support a full 64bit value.

I don't foresee any production problems caused by this limitation unless the customer is planning to transfer multiple terabyte sized files through NetServer. Until the actual free space drops below the file server maximum, it will remain at it's capped value.

Thank you for submitting this request. As systems are built with more storage, this value will become less accurate and subsequently less useful. We will investigate and consider providing a size that is accurate. This will be prioritized with our other work.
