IBM i Netserver status - Unknown User Attempts Merged

When looking at the IBM i Netserver status display available in Navigator for i, the number of Unknown User Attempts is displayed. In order to detect the source of those attempts you have to run a trace 24/7. This will tell you which IP is the initiator of that attempt.

Use Case:

When reporting the IBM i Netserver we see people asking for the IP addresses which are behind those Unknown User Attempts. The only way this can be done according to IBM support is to have a trace running . This RFE has an overlap with RFE 153005 ( https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=153005)
but what I am asking for is not exactly the same.
