ACS - Run Command

IBM has done a good job replacing "System i Navigator" with the "Access Client Solutions" product. However there are a few features that System i Navigator provided that are not present in the ACS product.


One feature I would like to request that you bring back the ability to execute a "Run Command" on a specific system, a group of systems, or ALL systems. This was a very helpful feature that allowed me as a system admin to mange our environments in a consistent manner.

    Thank you for submitting your Idea to enhance IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS). The feature you are requesting is already available from the command-line. See Section 9.1.23 in GettingStarted: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-i-access-acs-getting-started#9.1.23. Currently this supports sending a command to a single system. We do not have plans to provide this support for groups or all systems. For requests to manage a group of systems in a consistent manner, I'll suggest you submit an Idea for Navigator for i under Product: IBM Power: IBM i Category: System Management.
