SQL service to list hardware components, locations and adapter card firmware levels

Records of hardware assets and firmware levels is increasingly important. In the same way that the SQL services for PTF/system firmware has greatly simplified the management of PTFs, this enhancement would ensure that adapter cards are not overlooked during periodic reviews if firmware.

    IBM believes this Idea is satisfied with the delivery of the HARDWARE_RESOURCE_INFO view and HARDWARE_RESOURCE_INFO table function.

    These services were delivered in December 2022 in database PTF Group 23 for IBM i 7.4 and database PTF Group 3 for IBM i 7.5.
