Access Client Solutions action Navigator for i does not properly forward a NAT IP url to the host IP url

Anyone who uses a Network Address Translation (NAT) IP as the host connection for an ACS system will fail to authenticate Navigator for i as the NAT IP is not valid for the OS/400 web application. It would be advantageous for the web app to auto forward from the NAT URL to the OS/400 real IP address. The only way around this currently is to update the workstation host file with a system name that the OS/400 can lookup from DNS. This forces all system names in the ACS "System Configuration" to be the exact same name as the DNS lookup name - not ideal.

Thank you for submitting your IBM Idea. In case there are issues with your current setup or a solution already available, please open a Case with our Service team. They will be able to help identify any current issues and make recommendations. Once you have done that, provide the Case number here for further consideration. https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-i-access-support
