acs search functionality for local files, using path designated

Similar to search functionality within “file explorer”, allow search of ACS files/ scripts stored locally, using path designated. Useful when searching for technique or sql function previously saved.

Each directory to be searched will need to be added one at a time.

Thank you for your guidance. This generated follow up questions. Since I have a number of sub directories under acs_ibm, is there a method to ADD acs_ibm directory and include "all" sub directories in search? Or an option in PREFERENCES/ADD to select/add multiple directories at one time? Thank you.

The search capability for RSS is at Edit->Examples->Insert from Examples??? This requires that the scripts you want to search are accessible from this location. To do that, you may add directories to any of the categories from Preferences on the Insert from Examples??? panel. If you would like to add new Categories, you can do that by updating the first line of the script. For example, to put scripts in a category ???Sample Scripts", you would add the following line in the saved script:
    -- category: Sample Scripts

I am familiar with search functionality (ctrl+f) within a file. Is there a method to search through saved files that have been saved on the pc (not ifs)? If so, can you guide on steps?

Thank you for submitting your Idea to enhance IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS). Run SQL Scripts (RSS) already has search capability to search through existing scripts. We will not be providing the capability to search files in our IFS support as those files are not stored locally on the PC but rather on the server.
