PDF-A or PDF-A3 creation by CPYSPLF command

Till now we can create PDF's by the CPYSPLF command. Unfortunately it creates only a simple PDF. Enhanced requirements require the PDF-A format with embedded fonts and so on. Actually must a PDF document converted by Java or similar converted to the A format. It's more confortable and faster when this could done by the OS natively. Use case: Basic format for the creation of ZUGFeRD or Facture-X which embed a XML file for data exchange in Germany or France. This requires Java at the moment. Optimal solution PDF-A3, that can be done by indication an additional path/file in the CPYSPLF command.

    The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a HIGH priority requirement that is important to address. Supporting more secure PDF standards would help customer who use the plattform to generate PDF output.

    Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
