Please allow Tape Image Catalogs to be simply mounted over NFS.


i.e. I have an external big storage, it exposes a volume, IBMi mounts it on IFS and then a tape image catalog (usable with a virtual tape) is directly mapped over it.


use case: sometimes it is required to copy a multi terabyte a big tape image file to local storage to conduct - say - a copy to physical tape, when using via virtual tape and open interfaces would be much more efficient.


The quality and support external storage and any operation involving it from IBMi will be under the customer responsability (it cannot open support request if using it).
