CHGASPACT *SUSPEND / if it fails, need info about blocking processes / jobs

Hi

in order to do a flashcopy while active we use to to a

chgaspact aspdev(*sysbas) option(*suspend) ssptimo(60) ssptimoacn(*END)

On some customer systems this fails even with a second try with 90 seconds.

The problem is, there is no information what jobs/processes are responsible for that failing.

We then do a third chgaspact with ssptimoacn(*CONT)

Idea:

The chgaspact creates a spoolfile or some kind of logfile in IFS, where we get some information about the blocking jobs/processes etc.

We then would have the opportunity to check, whether this blockings could be avoided.

This functionality already exists in the CHGASPACT command. If a suspend times out, the output of the command:
    WRKCMTDFN JOB(*ALL) STATUS(*PENDING) ASPGRP(*SYSBAS or <iaspname>) OUTPUT(*PRINT)
is printed to a spool file named QPCMTCTL.
