The “Bytes Written” column is all zeroes for virtual tape volumes

We have no way to audit how much data was written to our OEM Virtual Tape Library volumes in a media pool due to this limitation.

    I'm confused because we did submit a case in 2020 (TS004214629) and the response was a IBM tip article that indicated this was working as designed - https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/684437

    We checked in with Deb Saugen and she confirmed the same and recommended the IBM Idea route. I will go ahead and submit another case and reference this idea for defect resolution.

    The BRMS team has review this request and feels that this support should be available today. When using the GO BRMS options 12, 5 under the covers BRMS runs the IBM i operating system command PRTERRLOG to gather the statistics. After checking with the owner of the PRTERRLOG command, they confirmed that this information should be available for OEM Virtual Tape Libraries. Please open an IBM Support case.
