Reconsider XMLTOOLKIT (5733XT2)

I learned that IBM plans to end support for XMLTOOLKIT (5733XT2). As far as I know, this product is the only option available, if you want to create xml with RPG when you need to create elements dynamically.

Please reconsider further development of 5733XT2 XML Toolkit.

Due to many security issues and concerns we are not able to continue with providing and maintaining this product. There are many other options for dealing with XML with in RPG. Even if IBM were to attempt to update this support, it would require significant updates to your RPG code to leverage this product due to the security posture that is required. Leveraging the Native Db2 XML support is a very viable option for dealing with XML from RPG. Details can be found: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.3?topic=programming-sql-xml Additionally, there is a great open source project Noxdb that could also be leveraged from RPG for this - https://github.com/sitemule/noxDB

With all the capabilities of generating XML with SQL (the XMLAGG function) or one of the service programs such as CGIDEV2 that are readily available.

I need to know what the submitter means by "...create elements dynamically...", that would help immensely.
