WRKIMGCLG should not delete images without asking for confirmation

By default, DLTIMGCLG uses KEEP(*YES) to keep images that are part of an image catalog when one is deleted.  WRKIMGCLG, on the other hand, offers a 4 Delete option that deletes the images without prompting. At the very least this should work the same as DLTIMGCLG and use that command default.

.IBM has determined that this function already exists in IBM i 7.4, and later releases, and has no current plans to bring it to previous versions.

    Greetings,

I have good news for you, what you are asking for is the default behavior in IBM i 7.4 & 7.5.

Using WRKIMGCLG option 4 to delete an image catalog will now bring up a confirmation screen which gives you the option to keep the image catalog entries if you wish.

    Best wishes,
