Active NTP log to have ALWSAV *NO

Active NTP log to have ALWSAV *NO

We have backup issues while trying to save the contents of directory :
/QIBM/UserData/OS400/TCPIP/NTP
This is the Netwok Time direcotory and contains two objects which are routinely locked during the backup window:
/QIBM/UserData/OS400/TCPIP/NTP/log
/QIBM/UserData/OS400/TCPIP/NTP/QTOTyyyymmdd
The' log' file we omit using a specific Omit. However the 'QTOT*' file is more difficult since there are historic 'QTOT*' files for preceding dates. We would like to save those and only Omit the active 'QTOT*' file.

So I would like to request that the active QTOT* file is marked as ALWSAV *NO, and when NTP moves on to the next date and next QTOT file, the old one is marked as ALWSAV *YES, and will then be included in our backup.

Have been advised this is a good candidate for RFE (in case TS012499791) since the product is Open Source and would benefit from this enhancement.
