This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

I'd like to amend my statement where I state that these APIs only work in Debug mode. They only work if the object being retrieved has been placed in Debug Mode. So simply starting debug still does not allow the APIs to run over any authorized object. For example, i need to include the Debug View setting in a list of program's that I may need to recompile due to a migration or 3rd-party software change. I need to make sure I can recall (retrieve) the DBGVIEW setting along with the other compiler information that would be returned by the other interfaces such as QBNRSPGM and QCLRPGMI. I suppose alternatively you could just return that debug view info to these other APIs. That'd be good enough for now.
