Run an ACS macro from Command Line

Many customers used to call macros from outside applications. With the migration to the new ACS macros they miss an easy way to open the emulator and execute a macro directly.

In the current plugins that you can call from command line there's no option to use a macro:

My proposal is to add an option to the 5250 plugin to execute a macro as is not in the current set.

/PLUGIN=5250 /SYSTEM=<system> [/<options>]

This support is available in version 1.1.9.5. New parameters (/macro and /mparms) were added to the 5250 plugin.

Thank you for your response. We need a little more clarification. You are requesting we provide an option for specifying the auto-start macro from the command-line when starting a 5250 session. We would not be providing a way to run a macro to a previously started 5250 session. Does this correctly summarize your request?

Thank you for submitting your Idea to enhance IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS). It is possible today to set an auto-start macro that will run when the 5250 session starts. Is your idea to be able to specify the auto-start macro from the command-line when starting a 5250 session from the command-line? If you are suggesting something else, please be specific and provide a use case.
