Allow variables defined with like(...) to be used as embedded SQL host variables

Variables defined with like(...) should be usable as embedded SQL host variables.

Allowing only variables defined with a specific datatype makes for more difficult application maintenance.

    IBM previously requested more clarifying information. Because the additional information was not provided within 30 days, the request has been closed.

    The SQL precompiler already recognizes variables defined with LIKE.

    For example:

    DCL-S R_C30 CHAR(30);

    // standalone field using LIKE
    DCL-S LIKE01 LIKE(R_C30);

    // Test INSERT statement
    EXEC SQL INSERT INTO TBL73_103 VALUES(:LIKE01);

    Can you provide details about the situation where it is not accepted?
