Enhance Omnifind product or integrate it with base db2 for i

OMNIFIND is a text search product that allows IBM i users to search unstructured text stored in a column of a DB2 for i table. The text stored in the column can be either simple character text, an XML document, or any of several different types of rich text documents, such as a PDF or DOC file. The product allows users to index unstructured data without having to parse it into a structured form such as an SQL table. It's faster than using LIKE when searching on text variables. It's free of charge but you need to order it separately from the OS.

The implementation on IBM i has a few problems:

-Some design problems storing data on /ProdData instead of /UserData, that also gives problems with iASPs.

-The GUI has been lost, as classic navigator or IBM i Access for Windows are not supported anymore (some sql services has been added for configuration but in the documentation the GUI is still present even that it doesn't exist).

And can be improved by adding:

-Mixed indexes like Oracle CTXCAT index: https://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/db/12c/r1/appdev/text/CreateIndexes/CreatingTextIndexes.html#section2

Where you can mix a text search index with regular indexes. This allows you to create indexes for queries like: SELECT * FROM Products WHERE CATSEARCH(Product_Name, 'hammer', 'order by price desc')> 0;

I think that IBM has two options: improve and fix Omnifind  for DB2 on i or add the Text Search functionality on DB2 of i.
