set coulmn width for SYSTOOLS.GENERATE_SPREADSHEET when export to excel

It would be useful to be able to set column width for each column or *auto to make width fit data when creating excelfiles from SYSTOOLS.GENERATE_SPREADSHEET.

Then the result looks better when creating and sending reports from the machine.

IBM will use this Idea as input to planning, but no commitment is made or implied. This Idea will be updated in the future if IBM implements it.

The SQL procedure SYSTOOLS.GENERATE_SPREADSHEET does not produce native Excel spreadsheets - it creates a comma-separated values (CSV) file, which does not have any formatting information.

So it is not possible to specify any formatting this way.

Instead I would suggest you look into Python or JavaScript libraries and use these to create a native Excel file with the formatting required. I have previously used the Python module xlsxwriter with great success.
