Do not show unused annotations for unnamed subflelds in RPG source

In Rational Developer for I, when editing ILE RPG source, an annotation icon may appear in the left margin of a source line which defines a field to notify the user that field is not used in the source program.

These “Not Used” annotations may appear for un-named subfields of a data structure.
There is a preference under ‘ILE RPG’ preferences which is a checkbox for “Include annotation for subfields in named data structures” which when un-checked will hide these not-used annotations, but it only applies to named data structures.

RDI should:

  1. Change the preference to also apply to subfields for un-named data structures.

And regardless of the preference setting:

  1. Don’t show unused annotations for unnamed subfields, regardless of the parent data structure being named or not.

  2. Do show an unused annotation at the data structure level for an unnamed data when none of its subfields are used.

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.
