the infoprint product installed on the IBMi includes a windows installable product in
/QIBM/ProdData/InfoprintServer/Transforms/Install/Image
that installs useful command line utilities like gif2afp to allow batch and command line conversion of i.e. GIF files to AFP resources (to be compiled i.e. to a PAGESEG and used in printouts).
I assume that IBM have source available and could compile them to be used in the PASE environment (i.e. AIX binaries) and distribute them via IBM repositories (or if it is worth refactoring as ILE CMDs).
Having them on the system itself would make them available to all and also allowing for automation and batch converting on the system itself in a controlled process.
thanks
