IBM i ACCESS FOR WEB product is not under your consideration a step back for the future

Hi I am afraid to kwon that the IBM i Access per Web (5770-XH2) product is not under your consideration .

It is the only way to access, with native software,  an IBM i with a BROWSER and it has e very lot of functions to help customers and programmers to have a valid alternative and a future for the classic 5250 (ACS) .

instead of decide to implement and do better graphics and help for the diffusion of the product the IBM CORPORATE has dismissed  it and the assistance on 7.5 OS .

Now the question is , have you an alternative via BROWSER ? Can i do something to contact programmers or community to help me to not leave and change the works until done ?

thanks for all

fabio

Thank you for submitting your Idea to enhance IBM i products. For a web based 5250 session, see IBM Host on Demand https://www.ibm.com/products/host-on-demand . Other web based functions are in IBM Navigator for i https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-navigator-i . To request additional functions, please submit a new IBM i Idea using Category ?System Management?.

If you want to keep using the 5250 protocol in your browser, you could install Access Client Solutions in a virtual machine and use something like Apache Guacamole to access the virtual machine.

This would not be exactly the same as Access for Web, but maybe a way...?

I understand why IBM dropped Access for Web - it seems it had very few users, and most if not all functionality are available in other products (like ACS and New Navigator for i) with more users.
