SQL Script Listing Open IFS Share Sessions

The below SQL script

"SELECT SERVER_SHARE_NAME, SHARE_TYPE, TEXT_DESCRIPTION, PATH_NAME, CURRENT_CONNECTIONS FROM QSYS2.SERVER_SHARE_INFO WHERE SHARE_TYPE = 'FILE';"

will list all IFS shares and the number of current connections but does not provide information on those current connections.

Expand the function of this script or provide the ability to get details on the current_connections like the job, user profile and IP address (similar to the information that is shown in joblog QZLSFILET).

While this information is available via Navigator, the user must select each share name individually and select properties, then copy/paste the results.

    The CAAC has reviewed this IBM Idea and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority Idea that is important to be addressed.

    If you want to see who has access to your file shares and check for those that should not have access is a must.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual IBM Ideas on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your Idea.
