Procedure hover text for parameters

IBM Rational Developer for i (RDi) Version 9.6.0.1 gives hover text and content assist for procedures in RPGLE. This shows the parameters and the return type. You lose all of that when you start typing the parameters. Ideally, you'd get to keep that info when typing the parameters, and it would indicate which parameter you were on. That would greatly improve the entering of parameters. To use the assist now, you have to click back and forth between the procedure and the parameters.

Other IDE's offer that functionality, including Eclipse.


Use Case:

When typing a procedure call, you would see the parameter info for a procedure while typing the parameters, so you wouldn't have to keep going back and forth between the procedure and parameters themselves.

    This feature has been delivered as part of the Rational Developer for i V9.6.0.7 product.
