Add an attribute to *SRVPGM object types for SQL Global Variables

Currently, there is no extended attribute associated with SQL Global Variables for *SRVPGM object types.  This poses a major challenge for change management software that utilize security templates to apply permissions and authorization lists to objects based on their type.  Most *SRVPGM objects when deployed to a production environment only require *USE authority.  However, SQL Global Variables require *CHANGE authority to *SRVPGM objects.  Without an extended attribute associated with *SRVPGM object types for SQL Global Variables, it seems impossible to use change management software to apply a different authorization list to the object.  Would it be possible to add an attribute such as "SQLVAR" or "GBLVAR" or something like that so that change management software security templates know what authorization list or permissions to apply to global variable service program object types?

Column SQL_OBJ_TYPE in QSYS2.OBJECT_STATISTICS table function already returns "VARIABLE" for SQL global variable service program objects. So the functionality is already there - but the change management software needs to take this into account.

The CAAC has reviewed this IBM Idea and recommends that IBM not implement this request.
This should be handled at the change management vendor level

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual IBM Ideas on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your Idea.
