For ages the DSPJRN command has had the INCHIDENT parameter to include hidden / internal entries in the output; and recently the DISPLAY_JOURNAL table function has been enhanced to provide similar functionality via the INCLUDE_INTERNAL parameter. Would be nice to know what DISPLAY_JOURNAL did previously when this parameter wasn't available, since I can't find any documentation for this.
Our software uses this table function and we have occasions when we need to "see" the hidden entries, and others where we don't. We would like to do specific processing for the hidden entries, but we have no instant information that denotes if an entry was hidden or not. This could be resolved "easily" by adding a single column to the DSPJRN output file templates / providing a single byte character column for the DISPLAY_JOURNAL table function to indicate if the entry was hidden or not.
Why this wasn't included when the new parameter was added I don't know! A missed opportunity.
