In QMGTOOLS see there is option 24 PTF management under that there is option 2 compaer HIPER PTF's from IBM. It would be nice to be able to compare any grouip PTF's list for exampe to comapre Security, Jave, DB2, CUM etc...suggest to have a option to compare a grou PTF then type in the group PTF number or have a option for each group PTF for that particular OS. That a way cusomer can get a complet list of PTF's that they will get.

We have customers that want to know which PTF's they will get when ordering any group PTF that is not up to date it is difficult to list find which PTF's that are not on they system befoe ordering the PTF's.

    SQL service to the rescue, check out the SYSTOOLS.GROUP_PTF_DETAILS view: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.5?topic=services-group-ptf-info-view

    For example, to check which IBM i 7.5 PTFs included in Group Hiper and Group Security that are not installed on the system for licensed program that is actually installed on the system and also produce an URL to the cover letter:

    select A.PTF_GROUP_DESCRIPTION, A.PTF_GROUP_NAME, A.PTF_STATUS, A.PTF_PRODUCT_ID, A.PTF_IDENTIFIER, A.APAR_NAME, A.INCLUDED_IN_GROUP, A.PTF_CUM_PACKAGE, 'https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/fix-information?legacy='concat A.PTF_IDENTIFIER as COVER_LETTER_URL

    from SYSTOOLS.GROUP_PTF_DETAILS A

    join table (

    select distinct PRODUCT_ID from QSYS2.SOFTWARE_PRODUCT_INFO) B on A.PTF_PRODUCT_ID = B.PRODUCT_ID where A.PTF_STATUS = 'PTF MISSING' and A.PTF_GROUP_NAME in ('SF99959','SF99958');
