ACS > run sql scripts allow reconnect to change profile

In ACS > run sql scripts > reconnect > default to current user but, allow the user profile to be changed for the connection. This will help with testing out different sql scripts with different profiles.

    The CAAC has reviewed this IBM Idea and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority Idea that should be addressed.

    This functionality would be critical for testing, using a different profile including penetration testing.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual IBM Ideas on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your Idea.

    Thank you for submitting your Idea to enhance IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS). The Run SQL Scripts (RSS) Reconnect is purposely targeted for an existing connection including the user profile. The best way to accomplish switching to another user profile is to change the system configuration for that system to be ?Prompt for user name and password every time?. This can be set from System Configurations, select the system then Edit, select the Connection tab, then choose the option in the Password Prompting section. To use another user profile, start another RSS session and you will be prompted to enter new credentials.

    At this time, we do not plan on adding the requested feature.
