Ability to Copy or Duplicate Record Formats in Screen/Report Designer

In CODE/400's CODE DESIGNER it is possible to easily duplicate record formats with a few mouse clicks. In RDI's Screen/Report Designer this is not possible. Having to switch to the source view to copy and paste a record format isn't adequate nowadays. In the "Design records" section it shold be possible to easily create, duplicate and delete records.


Use Case:

Open prtf or dspf to add a record similar to an existing one. Right click on rrecord and choose duplicate. Adjust the new record to your needs.

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” low priority feature. The stated work-around is sufficient.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

    We have reviewed this requirement and we feel it would be a beneficial enhancement to the product. We hope to be able to add it to our development plans in the future.
