To improve Production up-time, we have adopted a Backup strategy where the IBM i production partition is flash copied to a backup partition. BRMS is used to do a full save of the backup partition to tape media. This means the SAVE object information is updated on the Backup partition and never reflected on the production partition.
When we display the object save information on production, it never changes.
Enhancement request:
When Flash Copy is enabled on production, could the save information from the BACKUP partition be viewed (DSPOBJD) on production instead of the outdated save information.
This would greatly improve the Flash copy experience.
Note: QUSRBRM library is always restored from the Backup partition to production following the save to tape so save information is available but not in the traditional way
