In the LPEX editor, add an option to Copy/Move a selected block before the current line.

In the LPEX editor, add an option to copy or move a selected block before the current line.

At present, the only option is to move the block to after the current line. If you are trying to move something to the top, you have to split the top line at the very first character. Then you can copy it after the new blank line. Then delete the blank line added when the top line was split. This process works, but it's clumsy and cumbersome.

Use Case:

Select a line or block of lines.

Move to the top of the current source member.

Press the function new key combination to move or copy the selected block before the first line in the member.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your request. After careful consideration, we know that we cannot deliver your requested enhancement in the near term, so it is being declined. However, your request does align with the future strategy of our product and we believe it may have future value, so we will add it to an internal list for us to keep in mind for the future.

We have reviewed this requirement and we feel it would be a beneficial enhancement to the product. We hope to be able to add it to our development plans in the future.

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.

A preliminary evaluation of this request indicates that it is consistent with our business strategy. Further evaluation of this RFE is underway.

Move text to the first line: If RDi would behave like EVERY OTHER text editor that would not be necessary. You would just go to the first line hit enter and it would move the rest right of the cursor to the second line thus creating space for text to be inserted. But RDi doesn't behave like this.

... and if it would behave like every other Eclipse editor it would support moving line(s) up and down with the a key binding (like ALT+UP or STRG+UP or ...+DOWN).

I didn't mean to rant but just want to point out how the REST OF THE WORLD do things (which some RPG developers don't know).
