Hi,
IBM i ACS is the replacment product for IBM i Access for windows.
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/633847
In Client Access for windows, it is possible to perform data download and data upload of a CCSID37 file that contains non CCSID 37 without any typecasting.
In Access client solution for IBM i, to download a CCSID 37 that contains character not in CCSID 37, type casting can be done to fix the isssue.
However , for data upload to IBM i, the character would become gibberish if there is mismatch in CCSID .I hope that the Data upload can also have the same typecasting feature as the data download to address the issue or have the same behavior the IBM Client Access for windows had in the past.
