Enhanced Remote RSTLICPGM with License Acceptance Parameter

Current Limitation

Today, when you run RSTLICPGM, if the product requires license acceptance, the system:

Prompts interactively on the green screen

OR requires a separate manual step using a CL program or override to accept the license

This makes automated installs (via script, Jenkins, DevOps pipeline, or remote tools) frustrating and non-standard.

Proposed Solution

Enhance the RSTLICPGM command to include a non-interactive parameter, such as:

RSTLICPGM LICPGM(12345) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(QGPL/CSBASE) OPTION(*BASE) ACCEPT(*YES)

Where ACCEPT(*YES) tells the system:

“I agree to the license terms — install without prompting interactively.”

This is a high priority as this removes a key manual blocker in automating IBM i product installs and brings parity with modern software deployment tools -- especially critical for CI/CD, remote administration, and enterprise scalability.
