Changing sign-on error messages

Hackers like to know when they are making progress toward breaking into a system. When an error message on the Sign On display says Password not correct, the hacker can assume that the user ID is correct. This should default to a general "Invalid login" instead of having to be changed after the fact.

As pointed out in a different idea, a hacker using the same userid enough times will eventually get the message CPF1392 and then CPF1394, and find out the userid WAS legit and is now just disabled, and perhaps will be attackable again in the near future when it is re-enabled.    The instructions at https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.4.0?topic=environment-changing-sign-error-messages  should also list CPF1392 and CPF1394 -- I believe these would also be needed for OS 7.5 and 7.6 as well to cause the same message for ALL cases when attempting to sign on.

In IBM i 7.5 release, message CPF1120 is generic and does not indicate if the user name or password is incorrect. CPF1107 is no longer sent.

For releases previous to 7.5, there is documentation on how to change the CPF1107 and CPF1120 message so that hackers won't know if they are making progress: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.4.0?topic=environment-changing-sign-error-messages
