Native PowerHA support for IBM FlashSystems (SVC) three-site configurations

Currently, PowerHA supports three-site configurations with IBM DS8000 storage through HyperSwap with Global Mirror technologies, and with Geographic Mirroring using multi-target Geographic Mirroring. IBM FlashSystems introduced three-site support by combining two-site HA with an additional DR site using asynchronous policy-based replication.

While PowerHA does support volume (LUN-Level) switching plus asynchronous policy-based replication, for providing local HA plus DR with more than two nodes, it is still limited to two storage controllers in that environment, rather than three storage controllers that would be available if PowerHA integrated with the FlashSystems three-site configurations.

Therefore, it would be beneficial for PowerHA to suport these configurations natively in order to provide enhanced native integration with additional IBM FlashSystems technologies.
