Automatic Management of TLS Certificates

Since the validity period of SSL/TLS certificates will be reduced from the current 398 days to 47 days starting in March 2029, managing certificates manually will become very difficult due to the significantly shortened validity.
Therefore, a service for automating certificate management should be added to the IBM i functions.

    Hello,

    With the RSE APIs, which now allow you to manage certificates, you now have all the basic functions to easily develop automated certificate management. In any case, this is certainly the direction to follow, with new features to be added.

Native DCM support for ACME protocol (Automatic Certificate Management Environment)

Certificate lifespan is drastically shortening. and certificates are fundamental in todays security. Lifespan will be 47 days in 2029. IBM i needs a robust way to automate the renewal of publicly signed certificates.
