After consideration, the BRMS team does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed. The information being requested to properly manage the *ALLDTCRCV list is not exclusively available in the object details in QUSRBRM, it also involves using operating system APIs to retrieve the current journal receiver attributes information on the system. After discussing this with the IBM i save/restore development team, it was determined that there currently isn't a way to handle this and it would be a sizeable change to implement. As mentioned by others, this request is similar to existing IDEA IBMI-I-3318 and IDEA IBMI-I-4316 which involve the object information on the system. A FlashCopy represents a point-in-time copy of your data. As soon as that FlashCopy is taken, the data between the FlashCopy and the original production copy diverges. In many cases, this is because the production copy continues making further changes and a complete solution would need to consider this as well. Therefore, a save of an object on a Flashcopy, while it may save pretty close to the same object, it may not always be identical to the object on the production copy so the save object information cannot be propagated back to the production system. The BRMS team will monitor any future save/restore operating system changes that may offer the required functionality and investigate further at that time.
