This RFE is consistent with our strategy and product roadmap and IBM is continuing to evaluate.
Most Java and .Net IDEs have this capability. If we want to make RPG more accessible to that developer pool, this feature is critical. It's also a pretty good carrot to help coax existing RPG developers off of SEU.
Live update of outline is great - but not having it reflected in the context assist is frustrating.

YES, I use Content Assist like 900 times as much as the outline (since I discovered ctrl-shift-F5 a few years back I don't even look at the outline anymore).
I second the comment above
Great idea. If we want to play in this game we need to keep our development environment as up to date with our competitors as is possible.
RPG is great language and the more we can improve RDP the easier it is to attract new people and convert the existing developers.
Bring it on.
+1 to both of the previous comments. This RFE would be fantastic as Content Assist is on of the most used features in RDP at our shop. The only reason I go to the outline view currently is to refresh my Content Assist!!
I fully endorse this RFE. We have 30+ developers using RDP exclusively and the lack of real-time updates feeding into Content Assist is a MAJOR handicap. With RDP 8.5 we thought this long-standing limitation with the product had been addressed. It appears not.
From a developer point of view there is no real benefit to the live Outline view refresh if Content Assist can't see those updates.
The sooner this is available the better - the outline view refresh is fairly pointless without the Content Assist auto update.
