Have possibility to download PTFs via https

Hello, in our company we are forbidden to use java web start as it was marked as vulnerability and FTP connection is being slowly banned out as well. Would there be option (same as for fixes for other IBM products like storage etc) to use https for downloading PTF images for IBM i? We are not allowed to communicate from our secured environment due to strict secure rules, but we might ask for opening https firewall rule towards IBM pages and download images through https. This idea could be combined with my previous idea to decrease data amount (IBMI-I-4616 Size decrease when downloading PTFs Groups) to not download that much data.
