When renewing Digital Certificate using the DCM API QycdRenewCertificate associated SANs should be included in the CSR

Renewing Digital Certificate using the DCM API QycdRenewCertificate.

When the CSR is created, it is only putting the base CN on the CSR request.

The other SANs that are on the certificate that is being renewed are not included in the CSR.

If the CSR is renewed from the UI in DCM, then the SANs ARE included on the CSR.

The API not including the SANs on the CSR renders the API useless in the certificate automation process as the processed certificate does not have the needed SANs, and therefore is not usable.

Certificate renewals must be done manually defeating the purpose of us coding and implementing a automated certificate renewal process for the IBM i.

With certificate validity lengths quickly decreasing within the next 3 years, it is critical to be able to automate the certificate renewal process.

IBM believes that the solution for the Idea described is available with PTFs. The PTFs update the QycdRenewCertificate API to generate the same CSR as the DCM UI.  This resolves the issue of multiple SANs not being retrieved.
