Change defaults in REORGANIZE window in ACS Schemas

Please consider changing the defaults in ACS for the Reorganize Table window available in Schemas.

The current defaults will start a RGZPFM with ALWCANCEL(*NO) when Enter is pressed:

RGZPFM FILE(MYLIB/MYTABLE) MBR(*FIRST) KEYFILE(*NONE)
 ALWCANCEL(*NO) LOCK(*EXCL) RBDACCPTH(*YES) FROMRCD(*START)

This is very dangerous since a user can start a reorganization of a big table not currently in use and not cancel the operation when the mistake is discovered.

This just happened for me, where I right-clicked the table in the Schemas window, chose Data and Reorganize... and while waiting for the window to appear (took a long time) switched to a 5250 session and pressed Enter, but the Reorganize window had popped up and took focus and my Enter was issued in this window and started the reorganize. Unfortunately the table had 3.4 billion rows and 400 million deleted and two indexes, and the job running the RGZPFM command would not end.

See attached screenshot for defaults that I consider dangerous.

The defaults should be changed to either

  1. have Cancel as the default button

  2. or allow the reorganization to be suspended, allow the users to access the table, allow changes to the table during reorganization and maintain access paths during operation.

This will ensure that any reorganization will run as seamless as possible without disturbing any applications using the table. And that the reorganization can be ended at any time.
