OLEDB error messages from ACS package V11.28.00 are not properly returned to Access VBA

We are using Access 2019 VBA to connect to an IBM i (S914) database via OLEDB. Previously, we used "IBM i Access for Windows 7.1.1500" (IAW OLEDB), and error messages were returned correctly to Access VBA.

Now, we are testing with "IBM ACS Application Package V11.28.00" (ACS OLEDB), and we encounter the following issues:

1.Connection errors

2.INSERT statement with duplicate key error

3.UPDATE statement with NOT NULL constraint violation

However, in all cases, the error message returned to Access VBA is simply: "Execute method failed: '_Command' object"

On the IBM i side, we can confirm the correct error details via WRKACTJOB → QUSRWRK/QZDASOINIT → Job Log.

This behavior did not occur with IAW OLEDB, so we suspect that ACS OLEDB is not properly passing detailed error messages back to the client.

We would like to request improvement in ACS OLEDB so that detailed SQL error messages are correctly returned to Access VBA, as they were with IAW OLEDB.

The proper channel to address the issue is the IBM Support portal ( http://www.ibm.com/support ).
Open a case, specifying "IBM i" as the product. It will be routed to the appropriate support team.
The support team will analyze the case, work with you to gather any additional details, and engage the development team to work toward a resolution.

Thank you for your comment. The issue being raised is not a feature installed with ACS, but an optional feature, so I believe it is appropriate to discuss it here. Essentially, it is a defect, so it is not a problem that can be found on the support site. Furthermore, I am pointing out that despite the version already being 11.28.00 and having made significant improvements, it still cannot handle basic error messages. Could you please tell me the URL where improvement requests can be submitted?
