Pendant to SND-MSG to retrieve the error message text

Being mainly a C# developer, it seams for me completely absurd that in RPG when you send an escape message with the SND-MSG function,  you don't have a built in function to retrieve the error message text!

Instead of having each developer/company to write it's own code based on QMHRCVPM, why don't IBM provide a kind of RCV-MSG function?

You would then have a nice clean code like this:

monitor;
  SND-MSG *ESCAPE %MSG('ABC1234' : 'MY_MESSAGE_TEST') %TARGET(*SELF);
on-excp 'ABC1234';
  errorMessage = RCV-MSG [With wathever necessary option to make it work!];
 // => errorMessage = MY_MESSAGE_TEST
endmon;

    To make this work simply, I would suggest something like a %MSGKEY parameter on SND-MSG that returns the message key assigned to the sent message. Then a %RCVMSG( msgkey : [options]); built-in function that allows developers to retrieve the messages based on the message key (regardless of whether it was sent by snd-msg). The [options] parameter on %RCVMSG would be stuff like *MSGTEXT, *SECLVL, *SENDER, *TOPGMQ, etc. all the needed options.
    Now that would be useful!
