Results File - file naming template

Regarding the use of RUN SQL Scripts and the default naming of output files, I've come across several suggestions advocating for more flexible file naming options beyond the standard "Untitled.xlsx".

Many other applications—such as scanning software or printer configurations—offer customizable naming templates. These typically allow users to predefine settings that automatically append timestamps, dates, or fixed text to filenames.

Implementing a similar feature in RUN SQL Scripts would streamline the creation of multiple output files by automatically generating distinct, time-stamped names. This would enable users to organize their results more efficiently within folders, without the need to manually rename each file based on its contents.

For example:

In preferences for result file names:

A modifiable base name such as: "Untitled"

Selectable Date Format dropdown with various predefined date formats to select from: (i.e "YYYY-MM-DD", "MM-DD-YYYY", etc.)

Selectable Time format dropdown with different timing formats: (i.e. HHMM , HHMMSS, etc.)

Your consideration of this addition would be appreciated.

Thank you for all that you do.

Regards,
Russell
